Enhancing Agility in Emergency Response: MEVO’s New Call Redirect Feature Tested Successfully

January 31, 2025, Athens, Ala. — INdigital has taken another step forward in empowering Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) with greater flexibility and resilience. Yesterday, our team successfully tested a new feature on MEVO phones, designed to streamline operations during emergencies.

The MEVO platform has always offered the “Abandon PSAP” button, enabling PSAPs to quickly redirect 911 calls to a predetermined location if they need to leave their center. Now, we’ve introduced a button that takes this capability even further.

With the addition of the “Redirect to MEVO Anywhere Kit” button, PSAPs can reroute their calls directly to their MEVO Anywhere Kit. This feature is a game-changer for agencies relying on the Anywhere Kit for remote 911 operations during outages or other emergencies. It ensures uninterrupted service while allowing dispatchers to work from any location with full functionality. This now provides PSAPs three options for rerouting: the PSAPs back up MEVOs onsite, an adjacent PSAP, or a MEVO Anywhere Kit.

This successful test is another example of our commitment to delivering innovative solutions that meet the ever-evolving needs of public safety. As we continue enhancing MEVO functionality, our focus remains on providing the tools PSAPs need to answer every call, no matter the circumstances.
