Thank You, From Someone Who Has Been in Your Shoes

Hello!! My name is Dana Ginder, and I work here at INdigital. I wanted to take a few moments to thank each and every one of you. You see, I sat in that chair for 13 ½ years at Dekalb County Central Communications in Dekalb County, Indiana. I know the screams you have heard when you have picked up those calls. I know how you get that sick feeling in the pit of your stomach when an officer is yelling for help or back up. I know the adrenaline rush you get with a big incident, and then feel like the weight of a thousand pounds has been lifted off your shoulders when it is done. I know what it is like to miss holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, all those special times because you were working so those who needed help could call and see that you were going to try to help any way you could within your power. I know what it is like to affectionately call co-workers you are with day in and day out your work spouse!! You spend more time with these people than you probably do with your own family. I know. So, I can say I appreciate each and every one of you. I appreciate all those sacrifices. I understand all the tears and laughter you share in your center. I appreciate knowing that you all care enough to do that job day in and day out. You are the first on the scene, you are the glue, you are the calm. YOU are the GOLD.

I will say that I have a special spot for my previous co-workers at Dekalb Central Communications, a great group of people. Especially those I was closest with Brian, Rikki, Scotty, Lindsay J & Amanda. Kudos for all you do!
